O evento de música electrónica, criado há dez anos no Reino Unido, teve a sua primeira edição em 1998 e chega agora a Portugal.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;O cartaz ainda não está fechado mas nomes como os Prodigy (na foto), Soulwax, Who Made Who, Da Weasel e Expensive Soul já estão confirmados. São 53 artistas portugueses e estrangeiros em 16 horas ininterruptas de música.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Apesar de ter sido criado com ligação à música electrónica, o festival tem vindo a modificar o seu conceito ao longo dos anos incluindo estilos musicais como pop, rock ou reggae. No recint&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;o vão estar espalhados oito espaços para acolher co&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;ncertos e actuações de DJ.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;O Festival Creamfields nasceu nos anos 90 em Liverpool, Reino Unido, na discoteca Cream. Afinal, reúne uma longa série de temas de diversos activistas da música electrónica de dança. Mas a difusa existência musical dos nossos dias não se compadece com visões formatadas. Na verdade, estamos perante um magnífico álbum de autor, que desenvolve um conceito por cartografar onde se conjugam os campos da arte, da performance DJ e da produção técnica de música electrónica. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;   É um trabalho influenciado pela exploração dos limites da tecnologia ao serviço do DJ, tarefa encetada nos últimos anos por &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.plastikman.com"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Richie Hawtin&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt; (ou Plastikman) nos dois álbuns da série "DE9". O canadiano é alguém que tenta ao máximo questionar e exprimir novas possibilidades para a função de DJ, manipulando novas ferramentas electrónicas - adicionadas aos habituais gira-discos e mesa de mistura - de maneira a criar uma visão alternativa à ideia convencional de selecção musical. Fá-lo, aliando reduzidos elementos dos temas, recortando-os e articulando-os cirurgicamente para formarem novos corpos sonoros.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;   Mas enquanto Richie Hawtin cria temas novos a partir de reduzidos elementos de outras faixas, Magda apresenta a música como numa sessão DJ. Os temas respiram mais, isolados, embora a micro-edição de fragmentos sonoros, as repetições e os efeitos sonoros estejam também presentes numa fantástica revisão de material avulso pertencente a vários músicos, deixadas fluir num contínuo incessante. No total, 70 faixas em 78 minutos, sem momentos de pausa, ditados pela cadência de uma sonoridade tecno abrasiva, subtil, sem concessões a fórmulas fáceis.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;   Nascida na Polónia, Magda viveu em Detroit, antes de se fixar em Berlim, onde reside. Em conjunto com Marc Houle e Troy Pierce (Louderbach) forma os &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.rsrsr.com/"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Run Stop Restore&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;, trio essencial para se entender a identidade da editora Minus, de Richie Hawtin. Não espanta por isso que 24 das 70 faixas aqui contidas pertençam ao quarteto Hawtin, Houle, Pierce e à própria Magda, embora também estejam presentes parcelas de temas, dificilmente reconhecíveis, de Ricardo Villalobos, Metro Area, Larry Heard, Koze, Disco D ou Donnacha Costello. A música deriva, sempre expressiva, num verdadeiro estudo sobre tecno contemporâneo, com ocasionais intervenções vocais operando sobre texturas organizadas em camadas de som. Ao longo do trajecto as cadências rítmicas mudam imperceptivelmente e minúsculos sons vão sendo adicionados, jogando com as expectativas do auditor, num exercício de aglomeração de tensão que raramente se traduz em mera manifestação de exaltação física. O tecno minimalista nunca foi tão hipnótico, num jogo de aliciação sem esforço, em que o prazer está no desvio e na sinuosidade inesperada. Conta ainda no seu currículo com remisturas para Slam, Troy Pierce e Ellen Allien &amp; Apparat&lt;br /&gt;No final de 2004, pelas mãos da M_nus, Marc Houle dá a conhecer “Restore”, o seu 1º e muito aclamado álbum, apresentado com grande sucesso em numerosos clubes e festivais, como na edição de 2005 do Festival Sonar (Barcelona) com uma das mais efusivas prestações deste evento.      Dani Siciliano começou a sua carreira musical como dj em San Francisco e como vocalista de jazz.&lt;br /&gt;Foi aí que inicialmente encontrou Mathew Herbert e começou a colaborar com ele.&lt;br /&gt;Suportada pela favorável recepção crítica ao álbum de estreia, Likes..., e pelas frequentes colaborações com Matthew Herbert, Dani Siciliano está de regresso com a beleza minimal de Slappers. Uma obra-prima swingante e sincopada, com sofisticação melódica e utilização inspirada do sampler, Slappers pertence à categoria rara dos discos em que a variedade, a vibração e a emoção seguem por direcções certeiras, servindo fatias de house, disco, electronica, funk, blues e até um pouco de country, com inteligência, energia e sinceridade. Trabalhando com paletas limitadas de som e muito espaço, Dani Siciliano constroi canções pop esparsas e cruas, com harmonias vocais surpreendentes. Na passagem pela Ipecac de John Patton, é sem surpresa que Varcharz aparece como o álbum mais pesado e ruidoso de toda a carreira dos MoM. É como se regressassem aos instrumentais de Niun Niggung para os transformar em algo mais frio, monolítico e forte. Não há vocalizações e são poucos os instrumentos identificáveis; este é certamente um disco nascido de máquinas e, provavelmente, muito do material original terá sido gerado em computador. Para uma banda que namorou o dub, deixando os instrumentos respirar quando o silêncio tomava parte na composição, os Mouse On Mars estão agora no extremo oposto, preocupados com a densidade, procurando ver até onde conseguem ir na acumulação sucessiva de camadas de som, utilizando loops de riffs, ou baixos com pedais de distorção à maneira dos Ruins ou Lightning Bolt. De início o dub e ambient dominavam as suas produções, embora percorresse vários estilos. Após um primeiro contacto com trabalhos de &lt;strong&gt;Mike Ink&lt;/strong&gt; e &lt;strong&gt;Plastikman&lt;/strong&gt;, criou o seu próprio som baseado no techno minimal, que até há pouco tempo atrás considerava monótono e repetitivo. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Estávamos em 1999 quando, após um dos primeiros concertos, o dj, Jeremy P. O seu primeiro grande sucesso foi “Brighter Days” com a voz de Dajae no ido ano de 1993, a que se seguiram trabalhos com artistas como Dj Sneak , Gemini e Paul Johnson .&lt;br /&gt;Mais tarde surge o seu pseudónimo Green Velvet (que foi concebido como uma alternativa mais dura em relação a Cajmere), nome com o qual se afirmou no circuito techno mundial, pelos seus trabalhos e as suas actuações explosivas como Green Velvet. Assim que conseguiu, comprou pratos e discos, mas como era muito novo e ainda não tinha idade para ser admitido nos clubs, começou a organizar as suas próprias festas na praia, onde, maioritariamente das vezes, era ele o dj.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Depois de já alguns trabalhos editados para trás como “ Late Night Groove ” na label sueca Deeplay Music e “ Aquarium Jazz Dub Mix ” em “ Don't Deny Me Love ”, em 2003, Martinez sente uma forte paixão pelo lado mais tecno e experimental da música house. Começou a trabalhar mais com samples e bases electro ao mesmo tempo que começou a introduzir algo a que chama ‘cosmic house' . Um som house espacial que é uma mescla de tecno, atmosferica e melodias coloridas. Não muito tempo depois, Martinez foi chamado por Steve Bug para uma produção na sua label de deep house, Dessous Recordings , no que resultou “Skywalker EP” , que teve grandes críticas de dj's de todo o mundo. Isto abriu uma nova etapa na sua música que se tornou mais rasgada e inesperada… quanto mais melhor! Não muito mais tarde criou a sua própria label, Out of Orbit Recordings , onde realizou 3 EP's seus mais uns quantos de uns amigos íntimos como Trentemoller , Zvukbroda e Jussi Pekka. This year, he has released his long-awaited debut album, ’OK Cowboy’.He’s not a big record buyer and doesn’t know the names of lots of his favorite tracks. His first love, when he started making music as a teenager, was Belgian new beat.
